6375. Jethro Tull - March, the Mad Scientist

From: Ring Out, Solstice Bells * March, The Mad Scientist * Christmas Song * Pan Dance (Maxi-Single); Year: 1976; Genre: Folk Rock/Progressive Rock
This kind of odd b-side track has been on my mind off and on for the last couple of days, since the start of the month of March to be exact. It is one of those short-but-sweet acoustic tracks and features Jeffrey Hammond-Hammond on double bass. Never really understood exactly wot the lyrics pertained to, mentioning Christmas and high figures that lick people with hotter flame and such in the first verse. In the first chorus it seems to liken the month of March to a mad scientist with the ever-changing nature bringing colour into spring after a dull coloured winter.
