From: Vampires, Cowboys, Spacemen & Spooks: The Very Best of Joe Meek's Instrumentals; Year: 1961; Genre: Surf Rock
This is a rather pretty instrumental track from one of Joe Meek's recording bands: The Outlaws. Of course this is not the same southern rock band of Green Grass and High Tides Forever fame, but rather the British band that featured a young Ritchie Blackmore, although he hadn't yet joined the band for this recording.
Again, this is a rather pretty one written around a solid melody played by a wet reverbed guitar; another great example of Joe Meek's production.
