I happened to notice yesterday that I had only chosen one other song from Earthless thus far, so I figured that I would pick another. This is one of the two monstrous songs that make up their debut album, Sonic Prayer, both songs clock in at over 20 minutes in length and are both instrumentals. This is an awesome one to either listen to on headphones or just let play in the background whilst you get works done.

Anyway, I have had this concept record by Paul Kantner and company on my mind off and on over the last bit and decided now would be a good time to choose another track from it. This is the "grand finale" of the "space opera" concept, which features a big group of who's who from the folk rock scene at the time contributing on this track and a few others. Starship features the lead guitar of the late-great Jerry Garcia, although you really wouldn't need to be told that because it is so obvious his sound and style.
