In one week the new Ian Anderson/Jethro Tull concept album Thick as a Brick 2 will be released. I've been listening to a lot of Porcupine Tree over the last little bit after finding out that Steven Wilson is involved in the production process of the album; mixing the 5.1 surround sound in particular. Suffice it to say I'm really looking forward to hearing his work with Thick as a Brick 2; hopefully they succeeded in creating a up-to-date prog/rock sound for it.
Anyway, this is one of my favourites off of Porcupine Tree's most recent release. Time Flies is the ninth track from the concept piece The Incident and is treated as the centerpiece of the album. This is an excellent track; it has a nice mix of lighter acoustic and heavier rock sound/feel with excellent musical arrangements and lyrical content; an excellent piece of Progressive Rock.
