From: At Fillmore East; Year: 1971; Genre: Blues Rock/Southern Rock
Yesterday I learned of the passing of legendary drummer Butch Trucks, I don't really know wot to say... dang. Both him and Jaimoe are basically two of the greatest drummers of all time and have influenced the course of music for the last several decades and we will be feeling their influence for many, many years to come. Whenever I think of the two of them I'm immediately thinking of At Fillmore East and the musical clinic those two put on; it only seemed right to pick one the more legendary songs from the album to mark today.
This is a blues originally done by Blind Willie McTell; and if you love music you should know this bluesy rock version.
