5500. The O'Jays - Love Train
From: Back Stabbers; Year: 1972; Genre: Soul/Funk/Disco |
This infectious song you just gotta dance to just seemed like a perfect 5500th pick. For me songs that are upbeat and ooze with optimism like this one are really big pick-me-ups for down times or when it seems like the entire world is seething with anger. Ronnie Baker's prominent bass line is really wot makes this song as excellent as it is in my opinion; of course the vocals and lyrics are top-notch.
