Continuing on picking some Christmas tunes, I thought picking some light-hearted comedy would be a wonderful idea; definitely good for the stress that we normally have this time of year.
Anyway, as you could probably surmise by the title this is an AC/DC parody of a few of their most popular songs set to lyrics based on the classic song "My Favourite Things," but with a more "metal" oriented list of things. A very fun song and definitely one of the better ones from Bob Rivers.

This one is a standard from during the height of The War, originally written by Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer. From wot I understand the title and main idea of the song was borrowed from a sermon by a popular preacher at the time, Father Divine , which translated very well into an upbeat song. Anyway, I have had this concept record by Paul Kantner and company on my mind off and on over the last bit and decided now would be a good time to choose another track from it. This is the "grand finale" of the "space opera" concept, which features a big group of who's who from the folk rock scene at the time contributing on this track and a few others. Starship features the lead guitar of the late-great Jerry Garcia, although you really wouldn't need to be told that because it is so obvious his sound and style.
