Happened to be thinking of this "Neo-Synthpop" or "New Retro Wave" band The Midnight again today; as usual I'm picking one from the artist on my mind.
It certainly is interesting to hear new music that sounds like it came from '82 or thereabout; something different, but strangely familiar....

This is one of those "transistor glamour" songs: i.e. has everything in a small package. For me, I was born in a time that this music was already permeating the U.S. culture, so I have no idea wot this did for those listening to it for the first time. I don't know what it is about this song, but it's just one that makes you want to sing and dance along with it. And of course you have Steve Stevens showing off his severely underrated guitar mastery. Funny though, a long time ago I started changing his "More!" lyric into "Moe!," as in the leader of The Three Stooges .
