Got in the mood for some Megadeth this morning and it has yet to subside.
I was seriously surprised to see that I had not picked this song yet; I mean, Symphony of Destruction is one of their signature songs and one of my absolute favourites from their catalogue. Every time I play this song, and the entire album for that matter, I can't help but still be blown away by it. This is one of those records that everything just perfectly clicked from the first to the last song.

This one is a standard from during the height of The War, originally written by Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer. From wot I understand the title and main idea of the song was borrowed from a sermon by a popular preacher at the time, Father Divine , which translated very well into an upbeat song. Anyway, I have had this concept record by Paul Kantner and company on my mind off and on over the last bit and decided now would be a good time to choose another track from it. This is the "grand finale" of the "space opera" concept, which features a big group of who's who from the folk rock scene at the time contributing on this track and a few others. Starship features the lead guitar of the late-great Jerry Garcia, although you really wouldn't need to be told that because it is so obvious his sound and style.
