6359. Clarence Carter - Slip Away

From: This Is Clarence Carter; Year: 1968; Genre: Soul
I've only chosen one other song from Clarence Carter thus far, which is a huge oversight for me.
Slip Away has it all: amazing soulful vocals with a lot of gospel influence, great bass groove, excellent beat and instrumentation. The only aspect of the song that I find wanting is the adulterous subject matter; other than that this is one of his best.
