Wow, this song certainly brings back some memories; heard it a lot as a young child and through my teenage years. It's one of those tracks that both sound like the era it was recorded and somewhat timeless at the same time. This is probably mostly due to the easily relatable of traveling and longing for home, or at least that which is familiar.
This was Dave Loggins biggest and his most recognizable song, although, he has written many, many hit songs for other artists, so by absolutely no means should he be considered a "one hit wonder."
