After the last couple of extremely busy day I finally have some time to sit down and make a post without feeling rushed.
Anyway, for the last few days I've been listening to a bunch of Guns 'N Roses; especially their first one: Appetite for Destruction. Not only is this is one of their biggest hits off of the album, but is one of the biggest hits from the band's history; a totally iconic track.

This one is a standard from during the height of The War, originally written by Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer. From wot I understand the title and main idea of the song was borrowed from a sermon by a popular preacher at the time, Father Divine , which translated very well into an upbeat song. Anyway, I have had this concept record by Paul Kantner and company on my mind off and on over the last bit and decided now would be a good time to choose another track from it. This is the "grand finale" of the "space opera" concept, which features a big group of who's who from the folk rock scene at the time contributing on this track and a few others. Starship features the lead guitar of the late-great Jerry Garcia, although you really wouldn't need to be told that because it is so obvious his sound and style.
