5914. Rammstein - Sehnsucht

It feels as if I haven't listened to earlier Rammstein in quite a while; I could be wrong of course. Sehnsucht was the first album I ever heard from the band, I believe it was the song Engle if memory serves. Anyhoo, this is, obviously, the title track, which predated Rammstein. It was originally by one of guitarist Richard Kruspe's previous band Orgasm Death Gimmick, which didn't really did not see too much success, but fit quite nicely into Rammstein's repertoire.

This one is a standard from during the height of The War, originally written by Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer. From wot I understand the title and main idea of the song was borrowed from a sermon by a popular preacher at the time, Father Divine , which translated very well into an upbeat song. Anyway, I have had this concept record by Paul Kantner and company on my mind off and on over the last bit and decided now would be a good time to choose another track from it. This is the "grand finale" of the "space opera" concept, which features a big group of who's who from the folk rock scene at the time contributing on this track and a few others. Starship features the lead guitar of the late-great Jerry Garcia, although you really wouldn't need to be told that because it is so obvious his sound and style.
