6163. Dr. John - Mama Roux

From: GRIS-gris; Year: 1968; Genre: Jazz Fusion/Funk/Psychedelic Rock
I couldn't help but pick something from the late-great Dr. John today, so I thought I would go back to his debut album. The awesome blend of jazzy musical styles throughout this track are the main draw for me without a doubt. Him and his band really knew how to lay it down, but wot do you expect from a group of highly proficient musicians steeped in the musical melting pot that is New Orleans?
