If you grew up in the '80s the sound will immediately be recognizable and give a great sense of great nostalgia. Whilst the sound is very much that of the early to mid 1980s, Icehouse was not, in my opinion, following fads and trends, but rather they were among the bands plowing a path ahead for that sound.
