From: Can't Slow Down; Year: 1983; Genre: Soft Rock/Pop/Country
This one has been embedded in my brain for most of today thus far. To be honest, I have not heard it in quite a span, and was not 100% sure who performed it, but Lionel Richie was among the two or three I thought it was from. The only issue was that this one is just a wee bit outside his normal sound, as with much of of the material on this record, especially with the country/pop crossover influence on this song. When you really look below the surface of Can't Slow Down, you can tell a lot of it was experimental for the superstar. Many others who would dare to try such an album might end in all but career suicide so to speak, but he really hit it out of the park and into orbit.
