From: nimrod ; Year: 1997; Genre: Alternative Rock Boy, it's been a while since I visited the band Greed Day, and I thought I should pick another one. Whilst I've had somewhat of a fondness for the raw energy of their early albums such as Kerplunk , there's no arguing that their music had matured a lot by the time nimrod came out. This one really shows it in my opinion and has always been one I've liked since I first heard it; there's something about a song with this high level of emotion both lyrically and musically that really can stir the emotions in the listener as well. I was going to pick another song until I realized wot day it was; I really need to have some caffeine in my bloodstream before getting on the computer. This is another funky track from the debut album of Luther Vandross' band of his namesake. I thought I'd pick one from it; this song seemed to fit my mood quite well. To me, this track in particular, makes me think of more or less what you'd hear from a collaboration between Neil Young and Jeff Lynne; especially from this early 80s era. From: Bachman & Turner ; Year: 2010; Genre: Hard Rock Upon hearing this song for the first time if you didn't know any better you'd swear it was written and recorded in the early/mid 1970s. It has all the hallmarks of the classic hard rock sound of that era, but it is from the current decade. All can say is that C.F.
