5467. John Denver - Four Strong Winds
From: Forever, John; Year: 1998, (1980); Genre: Folk Rock/Folk |
This is a cover of the folk hit song originally written and recorded by Ian & Sylvia, which has been recorded and re-recorded a plethora times by many artists over the years. His version of the song was released about a year after his tragic death in a compilation of unreleased tracks, with this one being apparently left on the "cutting room floor" during a session back in 1980. As always, John Denver did his best and made a great version of this storied song.
