5268. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Yertle The Turtle
From: Freaky Styley; Year: 1985; Genre: Funk/Rap |
Kind of a cute one from RHCP on this Funky Friday. What better way to do a funky rap then use the words from Theodore Seuss Geisel, who is better known as Dr. Seuss and one of his renowned works: Yertle The Turtle? I have fond memories of the story from my dad reading, or most of the time reciting it from memory word-for-word to my siblings and I. Anyway, the genius rhyming scheme in which the story was written made it absolutely perfect to make it into a song/rap, and the band really does an excellent job in their Funk/Rock/Rap rendition.
