5362. ABBA - Just a Notion
From: Voyage; Year: 2021; Genre: Pop/Rock |
Admittedly it took me a couple of times listening for this song for me to like it, and it seems the more I play it the more it grows on me so to speak.
Just a Notion was one of the tracks off of ABBA's newest album release and actually was written over 40 years ago, but was abandoned for various reasons, however, with the new record it was given a second chance being updated and reworked. To me, this song sounds the most like their classic sound from it; probably due to its genesis being from the time their fame was at its peak. Anyway, I really like the rhythm section, especially that walking bass line; you can tell that they really tried to do the drums and bass in the powerhouse styles of Ola Brunkert and Rutger Gunnarsson.
